How To Create ‘Expensive’ Art with Spackle and Paint!

So you think you lack the creative talent to produce expensive looking art? Think again...

Follow these simple step by step instructions to create your masterpiece!

1. Apply spackle to canvas: Use your putty knife to take a scoop of spackle out of the can and smear it on your canvas. You don’t want a thick layer of spackle, here otherwise it will be really messy when it dries and constantly flake off
2. Create “art” with your putty knife: This process reminds me a lot of icing a cake. Or like spreading butter on toast. You can create any design you want with your putty knife
3. Allow spackle to dry: When you feel like your design is done, leave the whole thing to dry overnight
4. Optional: Paint your spackle: Once the spackle is dry, you can paint over it with acrylic paints using brushes, sponges or any other preferred painting tools
5. Optional: Frame your canvas: Once you’re happy with your design and paint job, you can frame your canvas and hang it up for display
